Bomb Squad At Highlands Ranch Cul-De-Sac
Deputies Find Rigged Propane Tanks In Home

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- The Douglas County Bomb Squad was searching a Highlands Ranch home Friday after rigged propane tanks were found in the home earlier.The home, in a cul-de-sac on South Silver Maple Way, near Wildcat Reserve Parkway, has been cordoned off, but none of the neighboring homes have been evacuated, according to Cocha Heyden, Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.The resident of the home was arrested on a restraining order violation.
The original call to the sheriff's office was on a suicidal subject. When deputies arrived, the person who called gave deputies permission to enter the house.The man was not found inside, but deputies said they found materials that could be make homemade explosives.The man was arrested when he returned to the house.The bomb squad was checking the home for additional explosives, Heyden said.Neighbors were free to come and go. Douglas County Sheriff David A. Weaver has talked to all the neighbors who live in the cul-de-sac, Heyden said.
