Boy Trying To Catch Up To Sister

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A 7-year-old boy running to catch up to his sister on the way to school was hit by a car Thursday.Witnesses said the boy ran across Austin Bluffs Parkway near Family Place in Colorado Springs at about 7:45 a.m.He crossed against the light, the police report said.
Witnesses said a woman driving south on Austin Bluffs Parkway tried to avoid the boy, but hit him.The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.The driver was shaken, but not injured. Police said they do not expect charges in the case.
