Police: Improperly Restrained Toddler Injured In Lakewood Crash
Parents, Other Driver Ticketed In T-Bone Crash At 14th & Larimer

LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- The parents of a toddler were issued citations after the child was ejected during a Thursday morning crash in Lakewood.According to police, a minivan ran a stop sign at 14th Avenue and Larimer Street shortly after 11 a.m.The minivan the 2-year-old was in was broadsided and flipped onto its roof, throwing the baby from the vehicle.
Police said the toddler was in a built-in car seat and not in a proper baby seat at the time of the crash. The integrated car seat is used for older children and did not properly restrain the child, according to police.The 2-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The driver of the other minivan was ticketed for running a stop sign, police said.
