COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The man who shot a Cricket phone store employee during a robbery is on the run.

The employee told Colorado Springs police the man robbed the store on South Nevada Avenue during lunchtime Tuesday.

During the robbery, the employee was shot in the shoulder.

The employee told police the gunman ran away from the store and that he may have gotten into a silver-colored SUV.

The victim found a co-worker outside who called police.

Officers said the employee's injuries were not life-threatening, and he was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
