BP Removing Logos On SW Colorado Fleet

Employees Say They've Been Harassed

BP in southwestern Colorado is removing its company logo from about 200 vehicles.

BP employees said they were being harassed at traffic lights, gas stations and the grocery store, according to the Durango Herald.

In July, someone cut the BP logo out of an awning at the Durango Arts Center.

BP is LaPlata county's largest producer of natural gas, the newspaper reported.

Curtis Thomas, local spokesman for BP, told the Herald employees have noticed a significant increase in discrimination since a BP oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico in April.
