Dick Wadhams Up For Re-Election Next Year

A new website has started a petition drive to oust Colorado Republican Party chairman Dick Wadhams.

Dump Dick Wadhams.com said that "In five short months Dick Wadhams has taken Colorado from a likely Republican win in 2010 to a likely loss that threatens the future of the GOP."

Wadhams has served as party chair since 2007. Before that, he ran political campaigns for former Colorado Gov. Bill Owens and Colorado U.S. Senator Wayne Allard along with some national races.

The website said, "Since his last successful political endeavor in 2004, Dick has done nothing but destroy campaigns, ruin lives and practice the politics of hate and deceit."

The website is only two pages, a front page attacking Wadhams and a second page that pops up after you sign the online petition. That second page said "Thank you for your Support! Your information has been recorded and your support will not go unnoticed. Share DumpDickWadhams.com with your family and friends!"

There is no information about who is running the website and there is no phone number or e-mail address to contact the creators.

Wadhams called whoever is behind the website "cowards" for not revealing themselves, according the Grand Junction Sentinel newspaper.
