When a woman's $7,000 mountain bike was stolen this summer in Boulder, she used the Internet to help find the thieves.

The high-end bike was stolen from a rack on top of the woman's car in Boulder on June 3, Detective Cmdr. Kim Stewart with the Boulder Police Department told 7NEWS.

Weeks later, Stewart said the woman found parts of her bike being sold on eBay.

The woman's boyfriend set up a meeting to buy the bike, then a police officer took the boyfriend's place.

Officers arrested one man and have an arrest warrant pending for a second man, according to Stewart.

"This man and woman did an outstanding job," said Stewart.
