Assisted Living Resident Accused Of Sexual Assault
Suspect, Victim Live At Same Facility

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- A man living at an assisted living facility is accused of sexually assaulting a fellow resident.Leroy Smith, 81, was arrested by Grand Junction police on suspicion he sexually assaulted a 74-year-old woman twice in one day, according to the Grand Junction Sentinel.The newspaper said the victim told police Smith entered her bathroom when she was naked in her bathroom and touched her breasts. He allegedly grabbed her inappropriately a second time later in the day.
Smith told officers he and the woman had been friends many years and the woman told officers she had given a key to her apartment to Smith, according to the newspaper.The woman told police she and Smith have never been more than friends.
