Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson has filed a civil lawsuit against Arapahoe County Clerk Tracy Baker alleging that he made false and defamatory statements.
According to the suit, Baker made statements that if Robinson (pictured, left) and other Arapahoe County pubic officials continued to press Baker to resign he would use "compromising and embarrassing information" about Robinson as leverage to keep from resigning his office.
The suit alleges that Baker was involved in a conspiracy with Marcia Ann Wintbaugh, also known as Marcia Ann Adams, to generate the information.
"I'm outraged by Baker's behavior and the fact he's chosen to defame me and other people," Robinson told 7NEWS Thursday.
Baker didn't immediately return a telephone call seeking comment.
