School Worker Sentenced For Sexual Relationship With Student

DENVER -- A 32-year-old middle school worker who had an ongoing sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student has been sentenced to five years in prison.Roberto Rodriguez had pleaded guilty in April to attempted sexual assault on a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minorRodriguez worked in the school library at Lake Middle School and as a girls soccer coach. He was working at the school when he began the sexual relationship with the teen in December 2008, the district attorney's office said.
School administrators learned of the relationship and called police to report it. Rodriguez was arrested in March 2009.
