DENVER -- All the heavy rain that fell on the metro area Sunday night forced some places to cancel their fireworks shows.

Instead they will be happening Monday night.

Here are some of the fireworks shows planned for tonight:

• The Highlands Ranch Community Association is having their fireworks display at 9:30. If you're interested, the Highlands Ranch Town Center and Civic Green Park are great places to watch.
• The Greeley Stampede fireworks will be at 9:30 at the Island Grove Regional Park.
• The city of Loveland fireworks celebration is now scheduled for 9:15 at North Lake Park.
• Brighton is launching its fireworks display at 9:00 at Friendship Park.
• The city of Castle Rock postponed its firework show until Monday evening.
• Byers also postponed its fireworks show until Monday evening.

The quiet weather will hold tonight and most of Tuesday, before a new cold front moves into the region and brings the threat of more showers and thunderstorms.
