Fires Extinguished Along I-70 Near Floyd Hill

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. -- Clear Creek and Evergreen firefighters put out four separate grass fires along Interstate 70 Monday morning.
The fires were located between mile makers 240 and 247, near Floyd Hill.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office was being assisted by the Colorado State Patrol and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The nearby Bearly Tawl day care center was evacuated briefly as a a precaution.
The fires were first reported around 10:30 a.m. All were quickly extinguished.
The Clear Creek Sheriff's Office was investigating whether the fires were intentionally set, possibly by someone throwing something out the window of a passing vehicle.
