Man Hit By Truck; Killed Running Across I-25
Interstate Closed While Police Investigated

DENVER -- A man was hit and killed as he tried to run across Interstate 25 Saturday night.Thornton police said the man, whose name has not been released, was trying to run across the roadway near the 84th Avenue exit around 9:45 p.m.He was hit by a full-size GMC pickup traveling north on the highway, police said. Paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The driver of the truck stopped and waited for authorities to arrive.Northbound I-25 was closed while police investigated the accident. It has since reopened.
