Employee Found Dead At Springs Business

Victim's Vehicle Missing

POSTED: 5:21 pm MST March 8, 2010
UPDATED: 5:40 pm MST March 8, 2010

A woman was found dead Monday afternoon inside the business where she worked, police said.

Police said the woman had "an obvious injury to her head," and detectives are investigating her death as "suspicious."

The victim was found after Colorado Springs police received a call at 1:20 p.m. about a deceased female in Yong's Tailoring. Arriving officers confirmed the woman was dead and observed the injury to her head, said Sgt. Steve Noblitt, spokesman for the Colorado Springs Police Department.

The woman appeared to be an employee of the business, but police said her vehicle was not in the parking lot. The vehicle is described as a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with Colorado License plate 584-OMI.

Anyone with information about the location of the vehicle is asked to stay away from the vehicle but call police at 719-444-7000 with its location. There is a small “quick Gym” sticker located on the rear portion of the vehicle.

The victim has not been identified. No suspect information is available.
