Fire Burns Historic Cabin Near Fort Collins
No Injuries Reported In Blaze

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- An early morning fire partially destroyed a two-story, historic log cabin and an adjoining wood-framed home near Fort Collins, but there are no reports of injuries. Dispatchers received several calls around 8 a.m. Sunday reporting flames and small explosions. Several calls reported the fire at different locations, making it challenging for firefighters to get to the right place, Patrick Love, spokesman for the Poudre Fire Authority told the Fort Collins Coloradoan.Fire spread to the attic leading to the partial collapse of the roof, according to the Coloradoan.
No one was home at the cabin but one resident of the adjoining home got out without injury, Love said.Love was unsure if the homes were equipped with working smoke alarms.Cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
