Student Killed In Arkansas School Bus Accident

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. -- A 14-year-old girl has been killed in the crash of a school bus in northwest Arkansas. The bus from the Siloam Springs School District was full of students when it rolled onto its side and went down an embankment Monday.
State police say at least 21 others on board were injured. Several were treated and released, including the bus driver. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. A trooper said the bus driver told investigators that a disturbance on the bus caused the driver to look away from the road.The bus was carrying 48 students from the Siloam Springs School District elementary, middle and high schools.The bus was headed east when it left the state highway at the Illinois River bridge, about 3 1/2 miles south of Siloam Springs.
