Stolen Stereo Prompts Neighborhood Help
Theft Victim Gets New Stereo

MEAD, Colo. -- A man upset about his stereo being stolen learned that his neighbors are helping people.Last week, someone stole the stereo faceplate out of his 16-year-old son's car, according to the Fort Collins Coloradan newspaper.Carter put up a hand-painted sign that said, "To the person who stole the stereo out of my car, hope you have a rotten Christmas."
Neighbors saw the sign.The newspaper reported that a neighbor walking his dog found the stereo faceplate in a field and returned it. Then another neighbor came by with a stereo to replace the stolen one.
