DENVER -- A Westminster resident is $1 million richer after hitting it big in Saturday's Powerball drawing. But we don't get to know who the lucky winner is. He - or she - wants to remain anonymous. What we can know is that the winner bought the lucky ticket at King Soopers, 10351 N. Federal Blvd. in Westminster. And the lucky numbers were 32, 36, 37, 41, 53, with a Powerball of 30.The winner matched all five numbers and chose the Power Play option for an extra $1.
Colorado was the only state with a $1 million winner in the Dec. 26 drawing. The state has sold seven $1 million-winning Powerball tickets since January. Colorado also had a $1 million winner on Dec. 19. This year's lucky $1 million winners include a group of Erie millworkers who had been purchasing $40 worth of tickets every week. The top prize will start at $20 million for Wednesday's drawing.
