Florida Man Dies After Skiing Into Tree At Breckenridge
Victim Was Not Wearing Helmet, Resort Spokeswoman Says

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. -- A 41-year-old man from Tampa, Fla. has died after skiing into a tree at Breckenridge Ski Resort.Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson said Michael Crim of Temple Terrace, Fla., was on an intermediate trail, lost control and crashed into a tree where the trail merges with another."A call came into Breckenridge Ski Patrol at approximately 10:47 a.m. and ski patrol responded immediately. Ski patrol provided advanced life support and transported the patient to an awaiting ambulance. The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident," said Breckenridge spokeswoman Kristen Petitt.
"Breckenridge Ski Resort, Breckenridge Ski Patrol and the Vail Resorts family extend their deepest sympathy and support to the family and friends of the man," Petitt said.At least two other people have died while riding at Colorado resorts this season, including a 14-year old girl who died after hitting a tree at Breckenridge on Nov. 20.
