KEYSTONE, Colo. -- A woman questioned by Keystone Resort after workers said they noticed she was using a man's ski pass said she was in the middle of a sex change operation -- changing from a man to a woman.

The woman was asked for a date of birth and a sheriff's office report said she "was slow to recall it," the Summit Daily News reported.

The woman told a deputy that she had been disowned by her parents after she told them about the sex change operation.

The deputy called the woman's father who said he didn't know anything about a sex change operation involving his daughter.

The ski resort then provided a home phone number listed with the ski pass and the man answering said it was his ski pass and he had loaned it to his girlfriend.

The woman was arrested on investigation of theft of more than $500 and criminal impersonation.
