Fresh footprints helped the U.S. Border Patrol arrest a man wanted in Colorado.

Agents say on Saturday they followed the fresh tracks coming from Quebec, Canada into Derby Line, Vermont. The tracks led to 50-year-old Glen Vigil in the woods with his luggage.

He was wanted in Adams County for a list of charges including sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and sexual assault on a child -- pattern of abuse.

The case was reported to Thornton police on May 5.

Vigil was turned over to the Vermont State Police while he awaits extradition to Colorado.
