Police: Vail Man Stabbed By Roommate
Victim Discovered Speeding On I-70, Police Say

VAIL, Colo. -- The Vail Police Department arrested a man on Friday after they said he stabbed his roommate.Vail Police Chief Dwight Henninger said a police officer pulled over a vehicle early Friday morning after he spotted it speeding on Interstate 70. The officer discovered when he contacted the driver that the driver had been stabbed.Henninger said officers discovered the victim was stabbed by his roommate at a Vail residence. Police arrested Javier Huicar-Villa, 27, of Vail.
Villa was charged with felony assault and booked into the Eagle County Jail.Henninger said police did not know where the victim was driving to, but they are pretty sure it wasn't to the hospital. The victim was treated for multiple stab wounds and released from the hospital.
