Several cars collided with an RTD bus and an ambulance going to a call in Aurora just after noon Tuesday, according to police.

The ambulance hit a sport utility vehicle, causing it to overturn, according to Battalion Chief Mark Turley. Several other vehicles were involved.

Four people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The ambulance that was hit was not carrying a patient and no one on the bus was injured, said RTD spokesman Scott Reed. He said the bus was going through the intersection when it was hit.
