Peter W.S. Grigg Sentenced In Separate Case

POSTED: 4:54 am MST November 24, 2009

A Colorado Springs doctor who was caught selling prescription drugs to undercover officers has been sentenced in a separate case, in which he was accused of charging $300 to fill out paperwork so someone could get a medical marijuana registry card.

Peter W.S. Grigg pleaded guilty Monday to a state charge of attempting to influence a public servant and was sentenced to five years of probation. The 49-year-old anesthesiologist also was ordered to serve 250 hours of community service.

On Thursday, Grigg was sentenced in federal court to probation and 180 days of home detention for selling prescription drugs and Ecstasy to undercover agents. He voluntarily surrendered his license to practice medicine in Colorado the next day.
