Man Accused Of Raping Teen Allegedly Pimped Out By Mom
Mathias Charged With Soliciting, Sexual Assault

DENVER -- A 48-year-old man was charged Monday with repeatedly sexual assaulting a 14-year-old girl who had been "pimped out" for sex by her mother.Mark Mathias was charged with soliciting for child prostitution, sexual assault on a child and sexual assault on a child, pattern of abuse.According to Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey, Mathias sexually assaulted the girl from June 2008 until March of 2009. The charges further allege that the defendant paid the victim's mother, who allowed the sexual assaults to occur.
The mother was charged earlier with pimping of a child and pandering of a child and remains in custody in the Denver County Jail; her bond was set at $200,000. She is not being identified because it would identify her daughter.Mathias also remains in custody in the Denver County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000.He is scheduled to appear in Denver County on Nov. 11.
