MIAMI -- Former NFL star and "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Lawrence Taylor was arrested Sunday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, WPLG-TV in Miami reported.FHP said Hialeah police responded to a report of a crash. One vehicle was damaged, and police said a second vehicle had fled the scene. No injuries were reported.According to FHP, the vehicle that fled was missing a tire and had scratched the ground.
Hialeah police found a vehicle matching the description of the car involved in the crash, and Taylor was outside the car, talking on his cell phone.FHP said Taylor had been driving without a tire and finally had to stop. Taylor told officers that he thought he had hit a guardrail, according to FHP.Police said the officers did not conduct a sobriety test and that Taylor did not seem to be impaired.Taylor was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, a second-degree misdemeanor.Taylor was released on $500 bond Sunday night.
