MONTROSE, Colo. -- An 82-year-old Montrose man missing for over two weeks has been found dead, the victim of an apparent accident on Red Mountain Pass. The body of Thomas Boylan Sr. was found Thursday at the bottom of a ravine. He apparently failed to negotiate a sharp turn on U.S. Highway 550 and his 1990 Suburban rolled 400 feet down an embankment. Boylan was last seen on the night of Oct. 20 in his 1990 Chevrolet Suburban. His family worried about his safety because he had a heart condition and didn't drive at night.
Authorities have been searching for Boylan and his family appealed for help through the America's Most Wanted Web site.Daughter Jeanne Boylan told the Montrose Press the curve was at the same spot her parents had their honeymoon pictures taken 62 years ago.State Trooper Darel Reed said the ravine has other cars from other crashes that have not been recovered.
