Police Lift SUV Off Man Injured In Crash

AURORA, Colo. -- Five police officers lifted a sport utility vehicle off a trapped man, allowing bystanders to pull him out, but the man died at the hospital.A Ford Focus and an Isuzu Trooper collided at about 8 p.m. Wednesday at East Quincy Avenue and South Chambers Road, causing the Isuzu to roll and eject an unrestrained passenger.The Isuzu came to rest on top of the passenger and that's when arriving police sprung into action.
The man, who was on a business trip from Wisconsin, has not been officially identified. Four other people involved in the crash were also injured.Police said the driver of the Focus ran a red light and was speeding. She may also have been drinking, police said.The intersection was closed for about three hours, while police conducted their investigation.The Isuzu was carrying four people from Wisconsin who were attempting to expand a business in the area, police said.
