Fights Break Out At Trendy Denver Sushi Bar

DENVER -- Denver police are trying to figure out why three fights broke out at a trendy Denver sushi bar early Sunday.Police were called to Sushi Hai, located at 3600 W. 32nd Ave., at about 1:25 a.m. A neighbor said he heard three gunshots coming from the business.Police found one man with a head cut, apparently inflicted with a broken glass. He was taken by ambulance to Denver Health Medical Center.
At least eight police cars responded to the location Sunday morning. A witness told police that five to 10 people were handcuffed outside the business after police broke up the fights.Police were interviewing witnesses to the fights on Monday in an effort to find out what happened.Two distinct trails of blood could be seen leading from the business.A police spokesman said up to 30 people were involved in the dispute and attempts to break up the fightsWhile the Sushi Hai address is on 32nd Avenue, the physical location is actually around the corner, on Lowell Boulevard.
