2 Killed In Rollover On I-76
Deputy Injured Responding To Wreck

HUDSON, Colo. -- Interstate 76 in Weld County was closed for several hours after two people were killed and two injured in a rollover crash Monday morning.All eastbound traffic was stopped at the town of Hudson and was detoured onto local roads around the accident. I-76 reopened after 2 p.m.Colorado State Patrol spokesman David Hall said the right rear tire of the 1995 Chevrolet van failed, causing it to go off the right side of the interstate, hit a delineator post and then rotate one and a half times.
Two boys inside the van were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the van, Hall said.The boys were identified as Giovanni Castaneda, 15, and Jonathon Castaneda, 12, both of Commerce City.Jonathon Castaneda was taken to Children's Hospital with serious injuries. Giovanni Castaneda was taken to Denver Health and later died of his injuries, Hall said.The driver of the van was identified as Isabel Estrada, 51, of Commerce City. Estrada suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the Northern Colorado Medical Center.Another passenger, Querubin Castaneda-Sanchez, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputy Injured Responding To Crash
In a separate accident, a Weld County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured responding to the crash.The deputy was driving on Weld County Road 43 near Weld Country Road 30 when a dump truck allegedly pulled out in front of the deputy's squad car.Hall said the deputy suffered unknown injuries.
