DENVER -- Authorities found a dead body inside a car in Deadman Lake in Larimer County Saturday.A passing motorist saw the roof of the car bobbing in the water at the lake at 6099 E. County Road 44 in Timnath. The Larimer County Dive Team was called to remove the body from the Honda CR-V. They are also searching for other potential victims, said a representative for the Colorado State Patrol.
State patrol identified the driver as 51-year-old Thomas Primus of Fort Collins. Alcohol or drugs are expected to be a factor, investigators said. The man apparently drove off the road that curves around the lake but it's not clear when the crash happened. There is no guardrail along the lake but there are multiple signs warning of upcoming sharp curve. Sgt. Bob Rood of the Colorado State Patrol said it doesn't look like the man skidded or tried to brake before leaving the road.
