Tornado Warning Issued For South El Paso County

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The National Weather Service has issued tornado warnings for southern El Paso County and parts of Kit Carson County. There were no immediate reports of tornado sightings or any damage or injuries. Forecasters said radar detected a rapidly rotating storm over El Paso County Wednesday afternoon that could produce a tornado.
They said the towns of Security and Fountain could be affected, as well as far-southeastern Colorado Springs. The Weather Service said radar detected another severe thunderstorm near Burlington in Kit Carson County that could produce a tornado. Forecasters said the town of Bethune could also be affected by that storm.To see the areas affected by the warning, click here..
