The personal information of nearly 800 students who attended The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs could be at risk after a faculty member's laptop was stolen from their home.

The theft occurred on July 5 but was only disclosed Tuesday, KRDO-TV reported.

Notifications have been sent to the 766 students impacted. They attended UCCS between 2003 and 2009.

The information at risk includes students' names, Social Security numbers, along with grades. UCCS is working with authorities to resolve the issue.

As of now, there is no indication that anyone is using the students' personal information, the school said.
