A 22-year-old Greeley man is behind bars after deputies said he drove more than 100 mph through the town of Windsor and crashed into three parked cars.

The man was first seen driving at 88 mph in a 45 mph zone near Highway 392 and Westgate Driver, said Eloise Campanella of the Larimer County Sheriff's Department.

The man refused to stop and at one point hit a guard rail as he crossed the Poudre River, she said.

The man continued into Windsor, driving over 110 mph, Campanella said. He lost control of his vehicle around Seventh Street and crashed into three parked cars.

Kyle Fanning was with a group of friends and saw the crash.

"This car came flying down from the street and it started making some screeching noises and we looked over and it his these cars," Fanning said.

Car parts flew at Fanning and Amanda Huff who was hit in the leg. The flying glass and metal cut her leg, but not seriously.

Fanning said his car, which had about $6,000 worth of winter clothes and work equipment, was totaled. He said his car had survived the Windsor tornado and now, "My car is gone."

The man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Campanella identified him as Levi Korgan.

Korgan faces charges of driving under the influence, driving while under suspension and reckless driving.
