Salida Wife Sentenced In Husband's Slaying
Kristin Durgan Admits Luring Husband To Remote Area

CANON CITY, Colo. -- A Salida woman who admitted playing a role in her husband's murder is to be sentenced on the anniversary of his death. Kristin Durgan is likely to face 45 years under a plea agreement in last year's death of her husband, James Durgan. Kristin Durgan has admitted luring her husband to a remote site about 30 miles west of Canon City. The wife pretended to be stranded after car trouble with the couple's two children. James Durgan, 37 went to the site last July 10 and was shot and killed. His body was found days later in the Arkansas River.
Kristin Durgan has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and kidnapping. Kristin Durgan is to testify against two other men prosecutors say carried out the killing, Andrew Tanner and Brian Folsom.
