Tyler Hancock and Eric Alderfer, both 15, were found guilty Tuesday on all five felony counts for starting the Snaking Fire last April outside Bailey.
Sentencing was set for March 31.
The youths, who were tried as adults, will appeal the convictions.
Prosecutors said the teens were smoking cigarettes with a buddy on the mountainside behind Platte Canyon High School. Erratic winds pushed the fire away from the school, but more than 1,000 homes in the mountain town of Bailey and nearby subdivisions were evacuated.
No homes were destroyed, but the cost of firefighting alone was estimated at $2.4 million.
