A 36-year-old Grand Junction man was arrested Friday on 66 felony charges related to child sexual assault.

Nerio "Ned" Martinez, was arrested without incident and is being held in the Mesa County Detention Facility with a $300,000 bond.

The three girls ranged from elementary school age to middle school age. The girls told investigators that the assaults occurred over several years, one saying that it started in 2004.

No further information about the victims was released in order to protect their identities.

Martinez at first denied all the allegations and took a polygraph test on June 8. The test was limited to questions about sexual contact with one of the girls. He denied having any sexual contact with her and the exam stated he was being truthful. However, a second polygraph test three days later, which asked about sexual contact with another girl, stated he was being deceptive.
