H1N1 Virus Closes Colorado Springs School
Officials: School Will Be 'Thoroughly Sanitized'

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A school in Colorado Springs has closed for two days because of the H1N1 virus.An employee at Stratton Meadows Elementary got the flu but has since recovered.The school will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday so it can be thoroughly sanitized, district spokeswoman Jennifer Sprague told the Colorado Springs Gazette.
The district sent a letter home with all students and called all parents with the information, according to KRDO-TV.The summer school program at Stratton Meadows Elementary School has about 90 students.The Centers for Disease Control is reporting 75 confirmed and probable cases in Colorado. More than 13,000 cases nationwide.
