COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Two Fort Carson soldiers face child porn charges after investigators from several agencies said they distributed images over a peer-to-peer network on the Internet.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, Michael Morris, 21, and Micah Rochet, 22, used personal computers at Fort Carson to distribute suspected child pornography.

Police said the investigation began in April, involving the police department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit and grew to involve the Fort Carson Criminal Investigation Division in May.

Through joint investigative efforts, the two soldiers were arrested on May 21 on suspicion of sexual exploitation of children, a felony.

"At this time there is no evidence that any children in this region were victimized by these suspects," according to a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Military investigators also said there was no evidence that military or government computers were used to transmit pornography.

The case has been turned over to the military and the two men remain in the custody of military authorities.

Rochet is from Beaumont, Texas, and Morris is from Americus, Ga..
