Accused Animal Abuser To Live With Dog This Summer

BOULDER, Colo. -- A CU student charged with felony animal cruelty will be allowed to leave the state this summer.Police said Abby Toll used tape and rubber bands to wrap up Bryan Beck's dog Rex after it made a mess on the carpet last month. Police said they noticed a big ball of tape stuck on the side of the refrigerator when they arrived. Inside the ball of tape was Rex.A judge ruled Monday that Toll will be allowed to live with her mother this summer in Chicago, even though her mother has a dog, according to the Boulder Daily Camera. .
The newspaper reported Toll will be required to participate in a monitored sobriety program with a Chicago-area laboratory as a condition of her $12,500 bond .Rex is living with a Denver-area foster family awaiting adoption.
