DENVER -- Trying to predict how the swine flu will spread is a question with worldwide focus this week, and the answer may lie with a man at the University of Colorado in Denver.Loren Cobb, a math professor, has an application into the National Institutes of Health for a grant he would use in the development of a new method for tracking and forecasting epidemics like the avian flu.Cobb said he hadnt really considered the possibility of a swine flu outbreak as he prepared his proposal for the NIH.
