Police said Jacobson's pickup sideswiped a taxi headed to Denver International Airport on Jan. 28. Fifty-four-year-old Kathy Krasniewicz and 71-year-old Kate McClelland, both of Riverside, Conn., were ejected from the cab and killed after the cab went off Pena Boulevard and rolled. The pickup driver took off, but police officers tracked the vehicle to a cargo lot at Denver International Airport. An arrest affidavit stated Jacobson had "a strong odor of alcohol," and "was staggering" when officers confronted her. She "admitted to consuming Night Quil (sic) before and after the accident," according to the police report.
