2 Detained After Dougco School Bus Hit By Pellet

FRANKTOWN, Colo. -- A bus carrying elementary school students was hit by at least one pellet from a pellet gun as the driver was taking students home from school.No students were injured but the Douglas County School bus driver was hit by flying glass from the service door window.The incident happened Tuesday, at about 4 p.m., as the bus was making rounds from Franktown Elementary School.
A high school student and a middle school student were questioned, according to a Douglas County Schools spokeswoman.The 17-year-old Franktown boy was released to his parents. The Douglas County Sheriff will recommend charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. It will be up to the District Attorney's Office on whether to pursue the charges.The other teen was not charged.A replacement bus picked up the students on the bus and dropped them at their normal stops.
