Loveland Man Arrested In Cat Killing
Police: John Muchow Broke Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home, Killed Pet

LOVELAND, Colo. -- A 33-year-old Loveland man faces numerous charges after an ex-girlfriend said he broke into her home and killed her cat.Police said they gathered evidence from the December 2008 break-in and that the evidence eventually led them to John Muchow, who was arrested Saturday.Muchow is being for investigation of second-degree burglary, aggravated crutelty to animals, and a crime involving domestic violence, which is a sentence enhancer, according to police.
Officer Ryan Ertman, who is also a crime scene technician with extensive training, is credited with helping collected evidence that led police to Muchow. He was booked in to the Larimer County Detention Center in Fort Collins.Police said that no further information regarding details of the investigation would be released.
