DENVER -- A single-engine plane crash in Elbert County claimed the life of the pilot Sunday.He was identified Monday as Gary Williams, 53, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.According to the sheriff's office, the Mooney M20C nosedived into a creek late Sunday morning, killing the pilot.
The plane went down in the 28000 block of Elbert Road, between Kiowa and Elbert.The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
