Weekend Meteorologist

Corey Christiansen is a meteorologist who loves a good snow storm!

He grew up in Sandy, Utah and always looked forward to winter when everything turned white.

Now, he loves being in Colorado forecasting weather for Channel 7. He joined the weather team in December 2008.

Corey began his career in 2002 at another Colorado station, KREX-TV in Grand Junction. He worked as the weekend weather anchor and a weekday reporter.

He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2003 and reported for three years at KAPP-TV in Yakima, Wash.. In 2006, Corey moved to Kennewick, Wash. and became the Chief Meteorologist for KVEW-TV.

Corey completed the Broadcast Meteorology program at Mississippi State University in 2008. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and holds the AMS Seal of Approval. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from BYU.

In his spare time, Corey loves to watch movies, work out, and spend as much time as possible with his wife, Monica.
