A Denver couple and their adult son have been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a boy and a girl in their care over several years. The children's mother has been arrested on charges of complicity.

The Denver district attorney's office said the alleged victims, now in their 20s, recently reported the abuse after they moved to Kansas.

Prosecutors said the abuse began in the mid-1990s. They allege the children's mother left them in the home even though she knew of the alleged abuse.

It wasn't immediately clear if the children lived in the home where the alleged abuse took place or if they were visitors.

The alleged victims' mother -- Karen Stillmanm, 57 -- was charged with sexual assault on a child, two counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, and two counts of sexual assault. The charges against her allege complicity.

Eric Torrez, 46, is charged with three counts of sexual assault on a child, six counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, two counts of sexual assault on a child -- pattern of abuse, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of assault.

Linda Torrez, 45, is charged with two counts of sexual assault on a child, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. Most of the charges against her allege complicity.

Patrick Torrez, 22, is charged with aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, sexual assault on a child, and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. Most of the charges against him allege complicity.

Eric, Linda and Patrick Torrez have each been released from custody on a $50,000 bond. Stillman remains in custody. Her bond is set at $50,000.
