HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- 'Tis the season to give gifts to clients, but one Colorado business owner is donating to "Coats to Colorado" instead.Pat Kummer with Kummer Financial Strategies, Inc. in Highlands Ranch started donating coats instead of buying client gifts two years ago.Kummer finds a department store with great deals and buys as many coats as she can.
This year, Kummer Financial Strategies also initiated a matching gift program. For every new coat donated in Kummer's lobby, Kummer is donating another new coat, up to 150 coats.People in need of a coat can come to the final "Coats for Colorado" distribution this Saturday. Coats will be available, free of charge at the Dependable Cleaners at 1701 S. Broadway Street in Denver from 8 a.m. to noon. This is the 27th year of the "Coats for Colorado" drive.
