PUEBLO, Colo. -- Pueblo fire inspectors have found no other major problems with natural gas lines in a business district where a leak was blamed for a deadly explosion two weeks ago. A 22-year-old woman was killed, seven other people were injured and two businesses were leveled in the Nov. 13 explosion. Investigators say a leak in a pipeline beneath a street allowed gas to seep into the basement of the Branch Inn restaurant, where it built up and exploded. The Branch Inn and a store called A Classic Boutique were destroyed. The woman who died, Ashley R. Johnson, was in the boutique.
Fire Department inspectors finished a sweep of other gas lines on Wednesday. Inspectors from the Pueblo Regional Building Department and Xcel Energy helped with the sweep.
