Aurora Teen Killed In Early-Morning Rollover

Police: Speed, Alcohol May Have Been Factors

POSTED: 7:34 am MST November 19, 2008
UPDATED: 11:46 am MST November 19, 2008

A teenager died when he lost control of the car he was driving and was ejected when it rolled into a house early Wednesday.

Aurora police were dispatched at 3:02 a.m. to Tallyn's Reach Parkway and East Frost Drive, just south of East Arapahoe Road in southeast Aurora and found the 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix on its side, against a house.

Emergency responders found the driver had been ejected from the car. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.

The victim was identified only as an 18-year-old Aurora resident.

Investigators said that excessive speed may have been a factor in the crash and there were indications at the crash location that alcohol may have been involved.

An autopsy will determine the cause of death and the positive identification of the deceased.
